This summer, we ran an SEO experiment that produced better results than anything I’ve seen in this price range.
One of our SEO partners approached me with a proposal. Instead of buying backlinks or chasing down other websites for manual link-building, he wanted to test a different approach for improving a client’s Domain Authority and backlink profile.
We decided to test this with a client who was game for experimentation. The client was a small, two-year-old business with a young website, limited visibility, and no budget for the usual backlink tactics.
We tried it. And here’s what happened.

The Value of Backlinks
Why this matters
Backlinks and Domain Authority (DA) are two of the strongest signals Google uses to understand whether a website is trustworthy and worth ranking.
-
Backlinks are simply links from other websites pointing to yours.
-
Domain Authority is a 0–100 score developed by SEO tools to estimate how likely a site is to rank. Higher scores often correlate with stronger search performance.
In plain terms: More credible sites linking to you means more credibility with Google, which means more search visibility.
For new businesses, that’s often the biggest hurdle. Traditional backlink-building is slow, expensive, tedious, and difficult to scale.
Traditional backlink-building vs. LinkLift
Here’s how most companies try to increase DA and backlinks:
- Guest posting
- Paying for placements on blogs
- Cold-outreach to site owners
- Directory submissions
- Partnerships and cross-promotions
- Buying links (which Google can penalize)
- Hiring agencies to do all of the above at $3,000 – $10,000 per month
These methods can work, but they require either large budgets, ongoing outreach, or a long runway before results show up.
Our method works differently.
Instead of creating new backlinks one at a time, we identify and vet existing domains in bulk with strong histories, clean backlink profiles, and relevance to the client’s industry.
These domains carry years of trust, mentions, and authority. When used correctly, they transfer a portion of that authority to the client site.
This is only effective when the domains meet strict criteria (clean history, relevance, strong backlink footprint, no spam flags, etc.).
Our SEO partner rigorously evaluates this using domain history, backlink trustworthiness, and archival records.
We don’t use anything manipulative, spammy, or risky. There’s no PBN, no link-buying, no gray-hat tactics. Just careful selection and technical execution.
Why this is more cost-effective
Most small businesses can’t spend thousands per month to build Domain Authority. LinkLift creates a faster lift at a fraction of the cost because:
- You’re leveraging authority that already exists
- You’re not relying on outreach or expensive paid placements
- You don’t need ongoing manual link-building labor
- Results compound quickly
It’s a one-time investment that accelerates everything else you do in SEO: blogs, landing pages, location pages, and even Google Ads Quality Score.
It’s simply a smarter way to earn the trust newer sites lack.
LinkLift Can Get You There
For a $1,500 test, the results were undeniable.
A DA increase from 3.9 to 27 in a few months is significant, especially for a small business with no SEO history.
The growth in linking domains tells the same story: more credibility, more exposure, and more long-term search potential.
Given this outcome, we’re formalizing this as a service: LinkLift.
